almost 4 months since my last post. wow.

and really, not much to say.

but . . .

I love watching Yuchi play the piano. Especially standing next to the piano's music stand, watching from an angle downward. His hands are amazing.

Thank you, God, for blessing me with such a little brother.

And my other brothers too.

And my sister-in-law.

And my nieces.

And my parents.

I love my family.

Mind you, ONLY bits and pieces. The full e-mail conversation is crazier.

Seems like so many people I know have family members diagnosed with cancer or just plain dying. How does one pray? What to pray for?

In my family, I praise God that He's saved both of my grandfathers. That in itself is merciful and a great blessing to my family. Thank You, God. Continue to give us strength, especially for the primary care givers who are now feeling suddenly empty inside and a bit more purposeless. My mom for her dad (Hsiao side) and my 6th aunt for her dad (Chiu side). Thank You for the peace that passes understanding that I see in their faces, a peace that speaks of knowledge that You are in control. Thank You for all the people who are praying for my family. God, in times like I see the community I long for within the Body of Christ in full swing and operating, because You are the Head.

I pray for my friend's dad who has been diagnosed with gallbladder cancer. God, I pray for the salvation of his dad. May You somehow redeem this terrible situation, draw him near to You. Reveal Yourself to him, that he may come to know You as Savior and Lord.

I continue to pray for Dennis. Please heal him internally.

Amen.

Tragedy. SCC's youngest daughter died yesterday, accidentally hit by a car that her older brother was driving while backing down the driveway. Be praying for their family.

There are so many bugs this year! I think it's the sudden heat wave, maybe? June bugs all over the outside wall of where I live, bed bugs in my ucla brother's place, little unknown bugs at my students' place (so much, their driveway looks like it's moving!).

And the bug bites. Five more today. *UPDATE: it's now 9. NINE BUG BITES TODAY!*

Had a nice long cry today. In a sense, it's relieving, being able to cry. Tried to a few times earlier, but couldn't. I think there was just a bunch of pent up sentiments that couldn't be expressed that had to get out somehow . . .

I think we picked the next Christmas cantata!!!!! Pastor Ian has approved (well, he said he liked it) and it is now in the hands of Pastor Cory, so if it's a go with him, it's a go! Not knowing what was going to happen next Christmas was so scary, anxious filled, and draining. Suddenly, there's a new bounce to church stuff.

Oh, and handbells starting soon, got to get ready for that. =)

Perhaps motivation will kick in again soon, but otherwise, it sure is hard to get going in the morning.
